Grace Digital Remote Control

Grace Digital Remote Control

The Grace Digital Radio Remote Control Application allows you to go where no IR remote has gone before. Control one or more of your Grace Internet radios from your Android device. You can adjust the volume ( Please note if you are using the RCA line out jacks on certain models to connect to a seperate audio system, the remote cannot control line out audio for obvious reasons), turn the radio on or off, find stations, set presets, or even set one of your five alarms. If you have more than one Grace Radio, it is suggested that you change the name of each unit so you know which radio you are controlling. To change your radio's network name, go to your radio's main menu and select "setting", then "UPnP", then "device name" and change it to "kitchen" (for example) or whatever falls within your personal preference.

Recent changes:
Updated UPnP library. Fixed crashes reported. General bug fixes and optimization. Please note that this new version is optimized for radios with service pack V266 or greater. To check your radio service pack go to your radios 'settings' (or properties menu) menu, then select 'version' then rotate the menu knob until you see 'service pack'.

I've been waiting on this! So excited to have a great remote control for my Grace Internet radio receiver right on my Droid Incredible. I love it. If you have a Grace internet radio, you should definitely try it out!

Spoke too soon - still hanging frequently. Instability continues. It's weird because the firmware in the radios themselves is rock-solid. Would like the ability to freeze screen orientation in settings. Love the features. Lets you have many more presets than the IR remote. Makes searching and browsing stations manageable... when it doesn't freeze.

It doesn't work. It doesn't work. Simple as that. It's also ugly and poorly designed. Maybe one day this'll be a great app but today is not that day lol

Too Unreliable Per everyone's comments; this app needs some work; locks up, freezes and I haven't found a way to delete old presets I no longer want! I'd pay for a better one to control my Grace wifi radios.

Useless. The app invariably will freeze at some point and will have to be closed and restarted to work again. It's really inexcusable after so long, and after so many crash reports, that the developer has done nothing to fix this.

Freezes constantly Once you select a channel the app often freezes and cannot go back to the channel list. Sometimes it does, but attempting to select a different channel does nothing. Usually the only solution is to kill the app and start again. I bought two radios in the belief that they could be easily controlled remotely from a phone or tablet. Since that's obviously not actually the case, and it's just a constant exercise in frustration, I'm taking the radios back while I still can. I can't tell you how disappointed I am
