Dear Telekom customer,
With HomeTalk, you can use your smartphone at home thanks to Telekom’s new IP-based telephone line. If your smartphone is connected to your WiFi network at home, you can easily accept or initiate calls using your fixed-line number and the corresponding fixed-line tariff.
HomeTalk is easy and intuitive to use, and you can set up calls directly via the contacts saved in your smartphone. You can also make a second call, toggle between calls or bring them together in a conference.
The benefits at a glance:
-HD Voice (calls sound fuller and clearer, as if the person you are speaking to is sitting right across from you)
-Use contacts that are stored on your device
-Enrich your contacts with pictures
-Define favorite contacts
-Use up to 5 fixed-line call numbers
-Numeric keypad: Use tone dialing method (DTMF) during a call for supplementary services
-Use Bluetooth headset
-Conduct a conference
-Other call functions: hold, toggle and second call
Please note the following:
-HomeTalk is available to Telekom customers with an IP-based line and can be used free of charge in all Call & Surf IP and Entertain IP packages.
-Calls are billed at the terms and conditions of your Call & Surf IP or Entertain IP contract.
-HomeTalk can only be used at home and with Telekom lines. It requires a working WLAN connection.
-HomeTalk can be used with Android 2.2.1 and higher.
-The battery life of your Android phone will be significantly reduced by the app.
-If you are on a call via HomeTalk and, at the same time, receive a call on your cell phone number, the HomeTalk call will be interrupted immediately but is kept in the background. As an option, the holding call party will receive an audio message. Following a short cell phone call or if the cell phone call is rejected immediately, the held HomeTalk call becomes active again and can be continued.
-However, if you are on a call using your cell phone number, HomeTalk is unable to accept incoming calls.
-HD Voice calls can only be made if your call partner uses a compatible phone with the G.722 voice code and calls you via the IP-based Telekom network. If these requirements are not met, calls will have the normal voice quality.
