Ik Onkar Sat Naam
Guru Nanak Dev(15 April 1469 – 22 September 1539) was the founder of the religion of Sikhism and the first of the ten Sikh Gurus.
The Sikhs believe that all subsequent Gurus possessed Guru Nanak’s divinity and religious authority, and were named "Guru" in the line of succession.
Guru Nanak saw the world suffering out of hatred, fanaticism, falsehood and hypocrisy. The world had sunk in wickedness and sin. So he decided that he had to travel and educate and press home the message of Almighty Lord. So he set out in 1499 on his mission for the regeneration of humanity on this earth. He carried the torch of truth, heavenly love, peace and joy for mankind.
Ik Onkar Sat Naam Shabad:
Ik Omkar Sat Naam Kartapurakh Nirmoh
Nirvair Akaal Murat Ajuni Sabham
Jap Aad Sach Jugaad
Hai Bhi Sach Nanak Hose Bhi Sach
Soche Soch Na Ho Wai
Jo Sochi Lakh Waar
Chhupe Chhup Na Howai
Je Laai Har Lakhtaar
Bukhiya Pukh Na Utari
Je Banna Puriya Paar
Sahasyanpa Lakh Woh Hai
Ta Ek Na Chale Naal
Ke Ve Sach Yaara Hoi Ae
Ke Ve Kude Tutte Paal

Nanak Likheya Naal
Meaning of the Shabad:
One Universal Creator God. The Name Is Truth. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of the Undying, Beyond Birth, Self-Existent. By Guru's Grace.
Chant and Meditate,True in the Primal Beginning. True throughout the Ages.True here and now. O Nanak, Forever and ever True.
By thinking, He cannot be reduced to thought, even by thinking hundreds of thousands of times. By remaining silent, inner silence is not obtained, even by remaining lovingly absorbed deep within.
The hunger of the hungry is not appeased, even by piling up loads of worldly goods. So how can you become truthful? And how can the veil of illusion be torn away? Nanak, it is written that you shall obey the Hukam of His Command, and walk in the Way of His Will.
