IR Universal Remote™ - IR 2.0 turns your phone into a real universal remote. Use your phone's built in IR Blaster to control infra-red devices such as your TV, Cable Box, Satellite, DVD, DVR, and much more. A phone or tablet with a built in IR Blaster is required. This application has thousands of supported manufacturer models with hundreds of thousands of different IR remote codes and is continuously growing in supported devices. This is one of the most universal applications in Google Play. Whether your kids have lost the TV remote or you just want to turn up the game at the bar you can always use your phone.
IR Universal Remote™ has has a new framework. You can import your saved remotes into the new IR 2.0 framework after creating your first saved remote. Once you have created a saved remote select the options menu in the top right hand corner. From there you will see the import remotes option. It is not guaranteed that all saved remotes will be properly imported. Button themes will need to be re-added. Only the IR codes and button names will be imported.
If you want to go back to the old app framework then download my other IR Universal Remote app. The app with the square icon is has the old framework.

*After the remote buttons are finished sorting there may be blank button slots. This is because the sort could not find a button in that code set to be mapped to that slot. Save a remote to add buttons dynamically from the database into the blank slots.
Galaxy S6 supported :)
*Tip - Controlling Cable and Satellite boxes from IRUDB databse: Instead of searching for your cable or satellite providers name look at the bottom or back of the cable/satellite box for the name of the manufacturer. When you search for IR codes in the database search for the name your find on the box. The box and the remote (the hardware) are usually made by a different company. The cable and satellite companies (the software) often rely on hardware companies to provide the cable or satellite box+remote.
