Menu Button Does NOT Work The app is great. It does what it is supposed to and allows MHL HDMI control from your Kenwood receiver. However, I have a Galaxy S3 (w/ Kenwood MHL adapter) and the Menu (...) Button doesn't work. Instead of performing the menu function, it brings up the Kenwood Smartphone Control app. Because the menu button doesn't work, I have to physically pick up my phone and press it. So it defeats the purpose of controlling your phone from your stereo. PLEASE FIX THIS SMALL PROBLEM!!! Would be 5 stars if fixed.

App works, but disables Google Now The app works as described and allows for control of the phone through the 8901 head unit, but once the app was installed Google now stopped working. If I uninstall the app Google now starts working again. Also, the screen calibration is always a bit off center. Nothing that can't be lived with though. Would have given 5 stars if the app didn't lock out Google Now. Not sure if Kenwood will release an updated version but it would be nice to have Google now operational again.

Good App with a few simple flaws Many people don't realize that the Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and S5 REQUIRE AN ADAPTOR for this to work with it. It is NOT this apps fault. However, once set up, the screen mirroring works great. The only real gripes I have with this app are that (1) Loses charge QUICKLY despite being plugged in, and (2) you can't play another source's audio AND the audio from "Apps" mode simultaneously. This means that you have to chose between your Waze/Nav direction's cues or music from another of the receiver's sources.

Working with Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 and Note 3 I just bought DDX5035BT. Works with Samsung Galaxy S4 and also Note 3. Only works when the park brake switch is connected and on. I had to clear cache of the app to finally get it working. Also to get full screen on the S4 I had to press the AV button and then select Zoom 1 aspect ratio. Enhancements I would like Kenwood to apply are: a) When playing the radio (in the background) at the same time as the phone is mirroring to the Kenwood, phone apps like "navigation" do not broadcasting street directions.
