Keybee Keyboard beta

Keybee Keyboard beta

Discover the new way of typing on touchscreen.

Keybee is a new keyboard studied and designed specifically for smartphones and tablets.
Being this devices used only with the thumb (or index finger) and for one hand typing, it is clear that the standard qwerty keyboard could be improved and exceeded because it was created for two hands typing 150 years ago. Hence the idea to shake up the common structure of the keyboard using models and arrangements more efficient for one hand typing.

The Keybee keyboard reduces by more than half the number of touches necessary to write a text without using any predictive input method. How? Try it, it's free.

****
ATTENTION: Change keyboard size in keybee settings if the layout appears not aligned.

It is possible that for some devices the Keybee layout doesn't work (keys overflow) on all the sizes. Sorry we are working to fix it.

Main features of Keybee:

● Hexagonal beehives cell structure, which optimizes the keyboard's area, reduces the distance between the letters, shows the letters clearly (from 30% to 50% bigger size than the current standard in the same area) and allows an ergonomic use of the smartphone for right handed people or left handed people;

● Repositioning of the space bar in the centre of the keyboard. Space bar is the most used button so now it will be always confortable to reach;

● New arrangement of the letters in that hexagonal structure in reationship with their distance from the centre of the keyboard (space key) and based on the analysis of the frequencies for each language;

● Linking of the most frequent word groups and syllables (pronouns, prepositions, terminations, etc.) that are close together to guide the finger on the shortest route during their insertion. In this mode a lot of words or part of words are instantly composed thanks to the "click+swipe" combination.

All this reduces by more than half the number of touches necessary to write a text without using any predictive input method: this is the real leap of quality.

The current version is the first beta version. The goal of this beta version is to show the idea and the structure to users and developers who can try it and comment it. Meanwhile I'm studying on how to improve it incented by reviews.

The languages available in this release are English, Spanish, Italian and German.

Thanks to all for your attention and for the reviews.

Good but.. It's entirely new so does take some time to learn. However the swipe feature has misleading name. And the enter key is hidden in numeric keyboard.😦😦😦 Still not bad for a beta. UI can be more responsive and beautiful(white theme is terrible), but that's for the laters. Best of luck
