I do not look at bug reports submitted by the Android system. They are useless. If you need help, please get in touch directly.

Lightwaver allows you to control your LightwaveRF Home Automation products.
http://www.lightwaverf.com

These are the same products as sold by B&Q but repackaged as Siemens
http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/electrical/room-control

You will need:
At least one socket, switch or dimmer.
The LightwaveRF WiFi link hardware.

The hardware needs to be set up correctly. I cannot help you with this but it is not difficult and full instructions come with the hardware. Once set up, it works in the exact same way as the dedicated remote controls. Simply treat the app as a remote control and pair your hardware devices with the software devices in the app.

Alternatively, if you exactly match the rooms & devices in the same order as in the LightwaveRF manager on the web, then there is no need to pair any device, it will work right away (assuming the official app already works)

NOTE: your wifi link will request permission the first time you use the app. Give permission by pressing the relevant button on your WiFi link box. If you do not give permission, the app does not work. (Press the energy monitor button to force the registration)

This app does not use the LightwaveRF portal unless you are away from home. It communicates directly with your WiFilink so is much faster.

The app allows for multiple locations to be set up. Handy if you have a holiday home. To use the app when away from home you should add your email address of your account on the LightwaveRF portal and the MAC address from the underside of your WiFi link box to the location settings. If you are connected to the SSID in the settings then the command is routed locally. If not, the command is routed via the LightwaveRF portal.

Each location can have multiple rooms and each room can contain multiple devices (currently only sockets and dimmer switches but if feedback is encouraging, I will extend the apps functions). Please get in touch with any questions.

*Why would I use this instead of the official app*
- Multiple locations.
- SSID detection for routing commands.
- Built in Tasker plugin.
- Voice control.
- NFC Task Launcher compatibility
- Homescreen and lock screen widgets
- Designed to be pure Android
- Fully customisable icons
- To support a home developer.
- Backup data to Google Drive
- Good developer support.

Great UI and developer support Best Lightwave app by a very long way. Only downside is the Lightwave server! App used to use router IP, offering a direct, more robust (though less secure) remote connection. Would welcome the reintroduction of this as an option alongside the existing cloud server interface. It is no more complex to set up than a webcam but developer could make it clear that this is only for advanced users. Developer responded to query in less than 24 hrs by sending an older version offering IP connection. Excellent.

Shaun Costello Really like this app, And its use of the clipping mode to be able to link it with tasker! :) Would be nice to see an off toggle to the buttons as somtimes i forget which icon does what, Also would be nice to integrate the cost per KW/H So the energy monitor can display costs like the official app!
