Lock Delay

Lock Delay

Lock Delay allows users to set an idle timeout period before the system unlock keyguard pattern will be enabled.

You must specify an unlock pattern in the system settings for the lock to be secure and effective.

Options now available to disable keyguard.

tested on 1.5 - 2.1

LockDelay will not work on FroYo (2.2).
Google has locked down the API used for accessing lock settings. There will be no FroYo update for LockDelay unless they reverse this decision. Sorry all. I'm just as disappointed as you :(

Older phones without FroYo are unaffected and should be able use LockDelay as intended.

User reviews of Lock Delay
I really don't understand the 2.2 reviews. I have a tmobile G2 (vision, the real G2) and I'm on froyo and it works perfectly. I use widget locker as my home screen. I def think that's its your settings. You have to set it to do nothing when the screen goes off as opposed to a simple keyguard and then set it to pin lock when the time is up. My only concern is that when I wake the phone and unlock it too fast, my home button does nothing but I heard that was a bug in froyo

This worked great on my EVO with 2.1 but now doesn't work with 2.2. Android's timeout setting seems to override Lock Delay. That's too bad because the max timeout is 15 minutes and I like it to be longer than that. I'd love an update.

There is info about FroYo compatibility on the site at http://www.brandongoodman.com/2010/06/lock-delay-on-froyo.html

Works perfectly to get rid of the slide to unlock screen on the EVO so you don't have to slide everytime you turn the display on. Only downside is that the display "wakes up" when the set time is up to turn the lock on.

I have mixed reviews about this app. It's nice and it's exactly what I need, but it disables the home and search buttons on the phone. It's highly annoying.

Doesn't work on galaxy s3 Running 4.1, doesn't do anything. A trial period or refund option would have been nice.

It ISN'T the dev's fault, dumbfuck. 2.2 disables the API calls this app used to do its job. Paid app or not, developers aren't magicians. Idiot.

Paid app - with no update for Froyo 2.2+ (not even for rooted users!) I have migrated to "Unlock with WIFI" in conjunction with "Llama".
