Our APP &. ACT
Following the spirit of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) initiated by the World Health Organization (WHO), the "Love Michelin Restaurant Guide" is an APP aims to help "People in Disabled Situation (personnes en situation de handcap)". In cooperation with the Taiwan Handicap Alliance, 2012, we recruited and trained handicapped volunteers, the "Love Michelin Correspondents", with GPS and ICT technology skills. Then, they visit restaurants in Taipei, observe and test its Disabled Friendly Environment and Services in the first line, and publish their reports online. We designed and developed the "Love Michelin Restaurant Guide APP" with featured smart and mobile functions such as GPS positioning, mapping, navigating, street-viewing, social networking and some other related location-based services. The "Love Michelin Restaurant Guide APP" enables not only a friendlier city for people in disabled situations, but also the possibilities to empower them in new career and services. In the pursuit of "Bien-Etre" (Happiness in French) and to improve the quality of life, the "Love Michelin Restaurant Guide APP" demonstrates that the true value of GIS and mobile service technologies should be more focused on its service to the target users and social impacts, rather than simply the data or the system that we could collect and program.
A. In "Good Restaurants", we sort the investigated Taipei Restaurants in three categories: "Handicap-Friendly", "Restaurant Types" and "Taipei Mass Rapid Transportation Routes (FEATURED)", which aims to help you easily find out where you want to go dining with your friends in disabled situations and how to get there through public transportation services. You have detailed information in each restaurant's page about the dining photos, address, location map, street-view, contact, web-site, business hours and most important of all, reports of its handicap friendly environment and services.
B. In "Online Convenient Services", you find our selected handicap-friendly smart services of the Taipei City and the New Taipei City. Also, you could check our Facebook Page and Youtube Channel to see our latest activities and videos. It is strongly recommend that you should add "Ms. Love Michelin" as your Facebook friends to follow our updates and send us your feedback and suggestions to our APP to make it better.
C. In "Love Michelin Team", you have the chance to meet our handicapped volunteers, the Love Michelin Correspondents" personally. We also prepared useful information on our project, team, sponsors and investigation guides to help you understand more about us and our ideas. Most important of all, we hope you can JOIN us!!
