Excellent App for "Brain Training" and some fun, highly recommend So, it's not free, just to be clear. I wasn't looking for another ad-loaded spyware game, anyway, so that's fine by me. I didn't mind the annual subscription, because they keep adding activities and they nicely track your development. Do I believe it trains the brain? Sure, it does. The more you use any muscle, brain included, the more it "grows." The games are deceptively simple, yet challenging at the same time. You know where you stand amongst people of your age group, which —if you put vanity aside—is super useful. The program algorithm is logical and helpful and obviously built by experts, almost smart enough to be a "personal virtual trainer." I don't like all the activities (hate the raindrops), but I do them anyway, because the point is to challenge. Do I accept the studies that say these type of activities help prevent cognitive decline or help make you sharper? The smarter part might be hard to accept, but I can accept that it trains better habits. It's challenging, keeps the brain tuned, it's different from the normal activities I apply my brain to, and in that way is relaxing and useful. I hope they keep enhancing, and I give two thumbs up.

Can't afford another monthly expense As most people, I know nothing about neuro-plasticity so I believe whatever you say and enjoy feeling I'm improving my brain. But, the fact that you have to pay monthly is just a no can do for a lot of people since we all have a lot of more urgent monthly payments. If it just was a single payment for the full version I (and most people) would actually consider buying it.

Designed by neuroscientists, farmed by software developers. These guys think the human population is some sort of a game. I remember back in the day when Dr. Kawashima games costs $29AUD and I was just wicked on the DS. Nowadays, there is no sense of integrity whatsoever. In order to maintain a healthy, functioning brain, you need to pay a ridiculous fee to improve your quality of life. I mean ffs that Japanese guy even donated his earnings for education.
