Lunitidal INT

Lunitidal INT

Some Casio watches have the ability to show moon and tide graphs. Unfortunately the software of the watches needs localized data. In newer CASIO wrist watches like the G-Shock GW-7900 you only have to input the next high tide time of your area. But in older models you need the lunitidal interval for tide prediction. This android app helps you to find the lunitidal interval (INT) for your CASIO tide graph wrist watches.

The algorithm is based on a world map of tidal harmonic constituents with a 0.04° resolution and a tide prediction mode assuming 2 highs and 2 lows per 24 hours:

lunitidal interval INT = Greenwich Interval GI + longitude/15° | >0
The accuracy of INT for a casio wrist watch is about +/-1 hour.

Gave me the answer for my Casio I don't know how I would have done it otherwise. The Casio manual was pretty brief.

Seems good... ...but only part of the fourth (right hand) digit displays on my phone and none of it on my tablet. Felixstowe is 11.0 something!
