The app allows you to:
• Calculate a working Activity Baseline to give an individual guide for reducing boom and bust patterns
• Monitor exhaustion and any number of ME/CFS related symptoms the individual would like to include
• Input a daily record of energy domains to promote Activity Switching
• Generate a measurable report in the form of an email, that can be reviewed and acted upon by health and medical professionals
• Add a daily comment to add qualitative aspects including thoughts and feelings to your reports

Support ME Research with the ME Diary. An annual 10% of the profit from sales of the ME Diary will be donated to Biomedical Research for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). ME is a poorly understood and poorly researched condition requiring complex solutions. The ME Dairy Team support well established organisations to help fund research into the scientific cause, bio markers and biological treatments for those suffering from this chronic condition. The results from the ME Diary will also help researchers further understand the condition and the impact it has on sufferers.

The ME Diary Team believes ME to be an organic disease of unknown origin. For this reason lifestyle changes and modifying behaviour may not help all those affected by this progressive illness. It is an exciting time for science and technology. As scientific progress steps forward at alarming rates, so does the benefit to Biomedical Science.

With adequate and focused investment in research, it may not be long before suitable treatments for ME are tested and approved. The ME Diary Team would like to be part of this positive movement and will continue to support Biomedical Research into ME.

In union with supporting Biomedical Research the ME Diary Team will endeavour to work with each and every user of the ME Diary to further develop the software application’s usefulness and research and treatment potential.

Good app overall I've been using this for a few months (on a Nexus 7 2 tablet) and I feel it's much better than a paper diary. For one thing, you can export the data to Excel and analyse it, so you can learn much more from the data than a paper diary (not that I've got round to actually analysing it yet!). The instructions on how to get the data from the email to Excel are very clear (on app website). I find it pretty easy to use and I like being able to see visually how I'm doing using the graphs and charts it generates. One person criticised it for only letting you keep the diary for a few weeks before starting another, but I actually find this a useful feature. It means that I can group my data by month, which is helpful to me as my ME tends to fluctuate with the seasons. It would be overwhelming to deal with a year or more of data, plus the charts wouldn't work very well. There are a few problems with it, such as the sliders being unresponsive and the app only working one way round. The baseline calculator currently doesn't seem to work very well either. I have given feedback to the developer though and it was very well received. They are keen to improve the app, so please don't be put off.

Great idea, awful execution, overpriced I love the idea of this app. I've had ME for 17 years and still struggle with pacing. Right now, it's only barely usable, loses a lot of its functionality due to appalling user interface (only works in landscape, tiny font, malfunctioning sliders, won't chart after 4 weeks) and you end up losing data when you have to uninstall and reinstall just to add new symptoms. It doesn't actually advise you on energy expenditure, just changes your baseline %. But it does help you see how much energy you've been using.

It's good I'll use it to keep track of how much rest or activity I do each day, it's a lot easier than having to write on paper which is what I usually do. Also As I'm on my phone quite a lot I'm less likely to forget to keep filling it in.

Definitely worth purchasing for those with a chronic disability I admit that I wasn't sure about this app before purchasing it (thanks to the negative review left here), but so far I haven't found any problems with it. I can easily update it and change the data I've added; and am able to personalise by including different symptoms and my estimated baseline. And the graphs, especially the pie charts, are super helpful in showing all the data that's been accumulated so far. I feel this app has a lot of potential to become even more personalised (being able to change the time periods for example), but think that it's' well worth the investment for anyone trying to manage their chronic disability.
