MediaConnect enables you to connect mediaservers with mediaplayers and also remote control these mediaplayers within a WLAN. You can retrieve informations about current playback and you can redirect playback to another mediaplayer within the network.
Media can also be played on a local mediaplayer if an app is installed that can handle the playback (e.g. MXPlayer, BSPlayer). If local playback is stopped and MediaConnect becomes active the playback can be redirected again.
The remote control enables you to change the playbackposition, change the volume, pause playback and transfer playback to another mediaplayer.
MediaConnect was tested with mediaservers of Synology and Twonky. The requesthandling to the servers is very flexible so that using other servers should be no problem. Information on operation of other servers or problems with them are very welcome at [email protected]
