User reviews of Meridian Player
DEV, STOP RENAMING THE APP ON EVERY UPDATE. THAT IS VERY ANNOYING. Paul in the Android Comments - and I - have nailed it. Dev is somewhat conspicuously not re-sending Registered Key after purchase. Also, I dont know of ANY CREDIBLE Android Apps in the Android Market that require Paying OUTSIDE of the Market (therefore using the already setup Google Wallet). The main (BAD) excuse I get from those Devs is "Well, we also sell in other Markets outside of The Google Market". I do not care - GIVE US A SEPARATE VERSION FOR THE ANDROID MARKET - ALL OTHER CREDIBLE DEVS DO THIS. FOLLOW SUIT. This Dev requires we use [one of] our phone's browser[s] sent automatically to Paypal (at least it's the legit https paypal) OR with CC purchase. Only thing is, if you decide to uninstall then reinstall (common occurrence on an Android phone and usually necessary for house-cleaning), the Registered Key of course goes missing - it shouldnt have to! NO OTHER CREDIBLE APP LOSES IT'S PURCHASE CREDENTIALS. Anyway, I have waited 7 days (way back from now, 1-22-2012) since request for Dev to resend my authorized Key, and nothing. So I must caution everyone - SAVE that email from FIRST purchase! YOU WILL NEED IT dues to shoddy coding practices. I received the key 3 days after I wrote this review - so a total 10 days' wait. After every other update, sure to form, the Auth code is eliminated. There is absolutely no excuse for that. Also, true to form, I heeded my own advice and referred to the SECOND purchase email (yes, since dev hadn't previously RSVP'd over this issue, I had to bite the bullet and purchase a 2nd TIME, BUT I saved that email) But, no, with this latest update, the WIDGET that WAS available in the market (or through the app, I forget which) is GONE!. Someone suggested that we bring the App, now movaeable to SD, back to the Phone. That is not necessary. BUT, this is a good app, with the exception that some devices lose ALL of their album art after some updates and must be re-downloaded again.

works great, but it would have been nice if there was some sort of instruction stating that if you have the original Meridian Media Player installed that you have to first uninstall that otherwise you get a parsing error. Took me about 3 hours to figure this out.

Doesn't play asf files. Msg "No app to launch this file".

Needs a good equalizer, and a cleaner interface, but it's still a powerful player. Get Extended Media Scanner for FLAC files!

The new update desynchronizes the sound for AVI files! Why does the update result in POORER performance?

Good app Fix the bugs......hangs sometimes. .....refreshing doesn't hppn at time......duplicate entries forms automatically. .......but still im hppy since it gives the choice of listening the video songs in mp3 without changing it to mp3. ;-)

Annoying Every time I choose a song to play, try to open an album or an artist it immediately stops and closes. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it all over again, but that didn't work. The best solution was to just get rid of it.
