MetroCalc (obsolete)

MetroCalc helps you use up leftover money on NYC MTA MetroCards.

NOTE: MetroCalc is (finally) updated! Unfortunately the old signing key expired, so current users will have to remove this version and reinstall the new MetroCalc.

You tell it how much value your card has, and it will tell you how much to add to take advantage of the 7% bonus and end up with an even number of subway fares, with no leftover change.

Note: not affiliated with MTA or any other calculator projects.

Recent changes:
Updated for March 2013 fare structure

Now supports 1-cent increments and allowable leftover change preference.

User reviews of MetroCalc (obsolete)
Does the job for me. $0.01 increment for current balance would be nice, as well as several different scenarios for amounts to add.

I like it! I'm biased, but I find it useful.

No flexibility Does not let me decide how much I want to add to the card only let me indicate how much is currently on the card.
