Mono

Now includes support for Rdio & the Subsonic Music Server in addition to SoundCloud, local music files and YouTube!

Mono is FREE (if registered before June 1st, 2014) and supports Chromecast! (YouTube, Soundcloud, Rdio, Subsonic, local music files and artist images)

Mono is for discovering and listening to music. It gives you access to the entire world of artists, their releases, their top tracks, their media. You can configure music sources for playback, including your local files, Rdio, Soundcloud, Subsonic and of course YouTube - either on your device or on Chromecast. You can view artist bios, images, concerts, similar artists and build playlists easily and save and share them.

Rdio has just been added as of May 23rd. If you have a subscription then full length songs will play both locally and on Chromecast. For Rdio subscriptions to work on Chromecast you have to cast from the Rdio official app or web page first (only once). If you don't have an Rdio subscription then 30 second samples will play.

Subsonic support is new. You will need to download the server onto your desktop/laptop (www.subsonic.org) and set it up with your music library.

Soundcloud integration has been improved significantly and now offers the following features

- Soundcloud on Chromecast
- Explore all Soundcloud genres to build playlists in seconds
- See Soundcloud users' tracks, playlists and likes directly from their track or by typing in their name
- For any generic track, step through all Soundcloud artist/track matches to chose the one for your playlist.

Regarding YouTube on Chromecast, Google has started to insert ads without giving developers the ability to offer a skip feature to the user. We apologize for this and are communicating with Google to try and resolve.

We have started an open forum for a complete UI redesign of both the Android and Chromecast screens. We want the users to redesign them. Go to https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/mono-app and make feature requests, suggestions, criticisms, post images or just to discuss anything Mono related.

Permissions (working on making these optional)
- Calendar - to post concerts
- Microphone - to speak text
- Location - to see concerts in the vicinity

Last, but by no means least, please provide feedback to [email protected], especially the negative and creative varieties. We know many of you are using the features successfully but there are a few users who cannot seem to even run the app at all. We have tested on many devices but not every one, so rather than just trashing the app please give us an opportunity to figure out why it won't run for you by sending device specs, ROM version, and as much information as possible as to what is happening. If we then fail to resolve the issue by all means trash it.

Great app Any chance of direct support for sftp and smb network servers? Even upnp media server sort would be great. I dint store music on my tablet because waste of space when my computers have it all on the network at home and Google music has it elsewhere.

I like this app, but.. Ads I hate the fact that I can't cast Vevo music videos with this app. Why?? And why so many ads? Is so annoying, and you can't take it out while casting a video
