Motocross GPS Lap Timer

Motocross GPS Lap Timer

MOTOCROSS GPS LAP TIMER turns your smartphone into a support tool for training with the cross bike.
It allows you to analyze the riding sessions in terms of lap times, lines, speed and heart rate (requires heart rate monitor Zephyr HXM BT).

The application can be installed on a smartphone for collecting training sessions data ad for a first analysis.
Then the same application can be used on a tablet wider screen for a deeper (and more comfortable) analysis.

MX tracks are tipically developed on surfaces smaller than road tracks that leads to specific requirements for analysing GPS logged data.
That means the virtual finish line needs a specific management.
For each track it is possible to store a finish line in terms of position (dragging onto the map), rotation (pinching two fingers onto the map) and width (ranging from 2 to 25 meters).

Furtherly, for each managed track, it is possible to store the specific bike setting.

During riding session acquisition a dashboard bearing the most relevant informations is displayed.

For placement onto the bike a small camera bag, fixed to the handlebar bumper, can be used.
If for taking a look at the dashboard while riding, a smartphone armband mounted over the handebar bumper can
be a good solution.

LUCIANO, I AM WONDERING WILL THIS WORK IF I DO NOT HAVE A DATA PLAN. I LIKE THE APP SO MUCH I AM THINKING OF BUYING A USED SMARTPHONE AND LOADING THE APP ON IT VIA WIFI. THE QUESTION IS WILL THE APP WORK IF THE PHONE HAS AN ACTIVE GPS BUT NO DATA PLAN?

Doesn't seem to work for me. Great graphics, picks up GPS but will not auto record the laps. I tried walking and biking and go to exact spot in a circle and it won't record a lap, just one big giant lap. Maybe I'm missing some setup. Poor instructions

Great Laptimer App! Thank you! I tested this on my Note 4 a couple weeks ago, it worked great. Then bought a used LG Volt for $50 and tested it the last 2 weeks. Works great! I can't believe I've got this great Laptimer for just the cost of a cheap used phone. I would gladly pay $20+ for this level of functionality. I think you should consider a "pro" version maybe with a few extra features for $10-20. Then at least those of us who would like to give back would have an easy way to pay you for developing such a useful app. Thank you!

Just d/l so haven't had a chance to try it. Had to rate it to put in review. What are you guys using to hold your phone? I searched on Amazon and really didn't see anything that would work.

Great for training I love this app. I haven't been able to get the zephyr hr monitor to show up in the app yet but other apps can use it. I was hoping the developer could give some assistance. I would gladly pay this app it is that good.
