Warning: Data hog! This app ate through 1.38 GB of data in less than 10 days (195 MB foreground, 1.19 GB background). In comparison, I frequently stream music over the network and have rarely hit 1 GB of data in an entire _month_. Going through that much data in a third of the time is unacceptable. It's still a well-designed app, but I've had to disable background data on cellular networks, which really limits it's usefulness. Hopefully NPR will fix their caching/streaming implementation so that it's more data-friendly.

Whoa, data! Really like the app, and it is usually part of my morning routine. But it downloaded 750 MB in background data on my cellular network when I wasn't listening to it! Nexus 5- Lollipop.

Chromecast breaks it I want to like this app. I really do. And when it works... Its wonderful. However when streaming to a Chromecast it will freeze the app and force it to stop playing. In this current state its next to unusable. Even disconnecting from the Chromecast will not allow it to continue to stream. I have tried force quits on it and other ways to get app refreshed when it hangs but it will stay stuck until the Chromecast refreshes back to the main screen.

Great functionality but a data monster Listened to no more than 5 stories since I've had it installed yet it managed to use 1.1 GB of data in the background over the week I had it installed. Is it loading every story or something? To clarify I am running Lollipop unencrypted. Thanks for keeping me updated!
