NumberSnap: Contact Photo App

NumberSnap: Contact Photo App

NumberSnap, an application which makes use of automatic text messaging to facilitate the exchange of contact details and your device's camera to make sure you'll always have a picture with a name in your contact list.

Ever gotten a person's phone number and forgotten what they look like the morning after? Or found taking contact display pictures awkward?

With Number Snap, you will be able to hand the device to a person to type in their name and number - just as you would when adding a contact normally. As soon as the contact is added, a photo will be taken of them from the front-facing camera and assigned as their contact display picture (the picture will not be saved to your photo gallery).

Auto SMS: Another feature of Number Snap is the Auto SMS which facilitates the exchange of contact details. As soon as the person's contact details are added a text message containing your number is automatically sent to their phone.

Number Snap is the perfect app for networking and social events where meeting people is a likelihood and is a great alternative to contact photo syncing.

"Have you ever been in, let’s say a discotheque, and gotten caught in a whirl of names, numbers and faces that you just can’t keep straight? Happens all the time. Luckily, NumberSnap just became available for Android on Google Play." - TechCrunch

(Auto SMS can be switched on or off and a warning message will be displayed to the person informing them that their picture is being taken which can also be displayed or hidden)

Photos stretched vertically on Nexus 4 Great app, works well, except (1) the photos are squished: the heads appear skinny and there is a vertical white bar to the right since the photo is too "small". (2) Also user can't choose which gmail account to save to - the "principal" one is used.

Awesome app Well designed, intuitively simple to use, and user friendly. I've spent way too many Sunday mornings trying to remember who that number I added the night before belongs to. This app has been an absolute life saver for me, couldn't live without it. I never bother to review usually, but I just had to make an exception here. Highly reccomended!

Cool but it can only save contact on device, not on Google account

Works like a charm! The 1.1 version didn't work on my HTC one. Wrote a bad review, and they contacted me personally by email. And they fixed the bug the same day. Enjoying it now, and it works like a charm. Saving a contact suddenly became much easier. Never did take a photo of each person after I stored them before because of the hassle. But now it's all good.
