on-the-road - mobile support for logistics and field service crew - Online & Offline
This application supports data entry in company specific scenarios without contact to a server (offline). The offline forms are process based and can processed and created as todo items. Offline entered data will be synchronized with the server at next online connection.
Real time request can be supported for devices with a permanent connection to the backend system. The possible answers could be simple popups, factsheets as PDF or attractive dashboards.
The focus of this app is to support logistik scenarios and the field service. Sales scenarios or the use as terminal is possible too. Pictures, signatures, barcodes, QRCodes, NFC and RFID Tags, GPS location, file uploads and more can be used as input fields. There are support for special hardware eq. external barcode scanner and "rugged" devices.
What scenarios can be implemented by the app?
- Assembly orders, damage reports, activity reports, maintenance, time in service and project business
- Deliveries of receipts (UPS scenario)
- Storage and inventory scenarios
- Protocols in the real estate sector

What devices are suitable and can be used?
In principle, all the devices from simple smartphones to be used on the tablets of the premium class. Also possible is the use of industrial devices based on Android.
The only requirement is from Android 2.2 (Froyo). Depending on the scenario, but should be taken at some hardware features. Examples: camera on the back of the display capability of signatures, Bluetooth for connecting external scanner or a USB port for data transfer via USB sticks. Many scenarios require continued special display or size suitable for the location (robust) devices.
How can you test the devices before use for suitability?
