● switch between calendar views with a horizontal swipe (opens the day or week you start the swipe gesture on) or double-tap for day view
● tap to open event
● long-press to add new event
● long-press on mini-month to go to today or jump to date

TRANSLATIONS
native language support for around 30 languages. Those are mostly user-contirbuted, please contact me if there is a bad translation or you'd like your language added!

PERMISSIONS
aCalendar only asks for mandatory permissions for its functionality: Read and write contact data for birthdays as well as read and write calendar data for events. 'Send Email to guests' is bound to 'write calendar data' by Google. NFC is for sharing events by touching another NFC-enabled phone, and requires manual confirmation.

APP2SD
Unfortunately app2SD cannot be supported, because homescreen widgets do not work from SD. This is an Android limitation. But aCalendar is optimized not only for speed but also for size.

User reviews of aCalendar - Android Calendar
Good calendar,EXCEPT while it synchs with google calendar,I cannot get it to give audible notifications on my Android, even though the phone setting are enabled. As a result I have missed events. Otherwise ok, but I wish I could get it to work on notifications.

Not a bad calendar app with some good ideas like one page one day with a month calendar on the right along with "all day" items. I'm going back to the stock calendar, as the agenda is better in Jelly Bean and easier to read without glasses.

Goede app, alleen jammer dat er geen eindtijd van de afspraak in de widget wordt getoond.

I love this calendar. Been using it for awhile. No color options, but it's clean looking and transitions easily from one view to another. "All day" tasks were a little glitchy but recently fixed. Syncs great with my Google calendar. Just love it. For the widget complainers, etc....it is the best app available (and it is free)! Works great! No ads! Get over it!

Its ok I don't like the way the app automatically adds a reminder to a new event after I save it, even though I purposely don't add the reminder. This is especially annoying when I enter a new all-day event, in which case the auto reminder notification sounds the alert at midnight of that day. So as of now, after I enter an event, I close the app, reopen the app, open the event and then edit the event to delete the alert reminder that the app automatically set for me.
