Ok. First of all, people need to realize the limitations inherent in this method. You are using an audio input on your device. These have no need for frequencies outside normal hearing. To save energy, many devices simply bandpass the extra stuff out. On top of that, many have an uneven response which will result in some frequencies being inaccurately measured. As far as ranging goes, a resistor on the input will attenuate signals into a safe range and should be standard practice anyway.

This is the best free oscilloscope app I have used. If you are still doing development work on this app, I would suggest adding a "divide-by-ten" option to the sweep rate function. That would be very useful for monitoring record levels on sound equipment.

This works. It produces a simple output as intended. I practiced to get the idea of tapping the screen to hold the signal. The time scale at the bottom was not recognized at first, but when I could read it, it allowed for measurements of frequency too. Screen capture was done by "Volume down and power" (Samsung). It's handy having such a great tool always available.

Its only enjoy of sounds..Dont Label it osclloscope, Name it Sound Waves.. It is not a osclloscope..

What does it do? It just sits there and looks at me. I can't believe itf

This isn't a oscilloscope, this is a sound meter.

A let down. All I want is a single shot from the microphone. This does everything except stop. It has no trigger control. Not really a scope just a free running audio digitiser.
★★☆☆☆
it said "no compatible audio scorce"
