OWA Webmail

OWA Webmail

The OWA Webmail is an Android mail client app. It can connect to an Outlook Web App (OWA) server.

What is an OWA server? If you have access to a Microsoft Exchange server you usually use Microsoft Outlook on your desktop PC. This connection is through an internal net. If you are on the go you usually are not able to use Microsoft Outlook. There is an extension to Microsoft Exchange server to give access on the internet through a web interface (webmail). This interface is called Outlook Web App.

OWA Webmail uses this web interface to access your mail on your Android device, so you do not have to concern yourself with IT security issues and protocols. The app does not sync anything with your device, all messages, contacts etc. remain on your server.

NOTE: It is not a general webmail client, so you cannot use it for Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo mail etc.

Recent changes:

- meeting invitations accept/decline support in e-mails

- show images link corrected for Android 4.4

Good for mobile You can enjoy most, but not quite all, features of the desktop version. Luckily, all critical features are included.

It sucks Functionality is minimal; for business it's useless

Works Very Well You can now pay $3 to get rid of the ads. Best OWA app ive seen so far. Until now I was using a terrible paid app (QOWA) that was basically just a web browser that automated login and came with many bugs and no updates in years. Glad to finally get rid of that junk and I'm glad there is an alternative to the other expensive $15 OWA app that looked promising as well.

Works great This was exactly what I was looking for. Would be great if it could integrate the calendar with the phone calendar, but that is just a nice to have.
