Paper Route (US News)

Paper Route: Sleek, Fast, Elegant Way to Get News From the US and Around the World.

Paper Route is a lightweight solution to avoid installing several different news apps or keep your newsreader/RSS reader clogged with redundant or scarcely used entries. It brings you the news from several different news sources in the US including additional sections of available news sources(Politics, World, Sports etc). So, instead of having several different apps, you can rely on Paper Route to catch a glimpse of stories from different news sources, browse different sections of a news source, read full articles, share them, all in one place and have apps only for sources that you need a even more deeper integration. Since it offers a wide breadth of information from different news sources, it is also useful for news enthusiasts who would like to compare and contrast the styles of different media outlets.

Using Paper Route is simple and intuitive. Just swipe from the left of your screen to display the list of news sources and swipe from the right side of your screen to browse through any additional sections offered by that news source. Paper Route presents you a headline and a short summary, just tap on a news story to read the full article. That is all there is to it.

But simplicity only shines when it comes to the ease of using Paper Route. Behind that ease of use, Paper Route carries an array of features. There are powerful scheduling features so you can download news stories to read later. You can add your favorite feeds to Paper Route. A caching mechanism is designed to reduce the network traffic even further. With these features and simple to use style, Paper Route can bring you a comprehensive overview of news stories from many different places so you can just have your absolute favorites in your favorite reader apps without the extra noise or hassle of managing multiple feeds.

Additional sources will be added via subsequent updates, if you would like to see a choice of yours please let me know by the comments or e-mail.

Great App - Some Suggestions Leaving a 4 star review but this app I think easily has the potential to be a 5-star app. 1) Allow for a paid version that removes adds (which I did not see a version to let me do that) 2) Allow for a readability mode when viewing the source. Currently it just posts the text into a wall of text, but having paragraph breaks would be nice. 3) Being able to setup a default "read it later" service (Instapaper, Pocket, etc) would also be great. Link Bubble has this option and it works great. Love this app, glad to see it's getting love and attention :)

5/5 This app is by far better than most news apps currently on the play store, even though its still on its early stages. I've used feedly/currents/circa in the past but this app is the real deal, 5/5 would download again. Also, I wouldn't bother adding fox news to the list, we all know why. We do need NPR though, thanks.
