PdaNet Tablet (new)

PdaNet Tablet (new)

*This software will no longer work if you have updated the tablet to Android 4.4/KitKat. This is due to a severe bug introduced in the Android system, that if no wifi or cell data is detected, Android will refuse connection attempts even though Internet does exist through PdaNet. The only way around this is to connect your tablet to any WiFi hotspot at the same time, even ones that can't give you Internet access. Google will fix this on their end but we do not know when that will happen.

This software allows you to get FULL Internet on an Android tablet if you have an Android phone.

Simply install this program on your Android tablet then select "Configure" to pair with your phone. Follow the instruction if it asks you to install FoxFi or PdaNet on your phone side.

Depending on which phone and tablet you have, you can connect using either WiFi or Bluetooth.

This is completely rewritten and supports Full Internet access with zero delay.

Recent changes:
Starting from version 2.2, if you have Android phone please install FoxFi on the phone side to connect either WiFi or Bluetooth.

Works as advertised. I can tether my Lenovo K1 through my Samsung Fascinate using WIFI without rooting either device, and no charge for WIFI Hotspot.

PdaNet Tablet Didn't work on my 4.2 jellybean tablet at all. Lg 45c and tablet showed connected once, but could not do a search. The tablet app Bluetooth would not turn on after first attempt. I bought PdaNet+ for my LG 45c for tethering on my laptop and always works. Very disappointing can't connect tablet via Bluetooth. It would be nice to have the larger screen (tablet versus phone) when WiFi is not available.

Doesn't work well and they seem to have no plans to rapidly fix. I paid for this app, but development seems to be very slow. I know your are aware of the issue.  You have said that there is a bug in android 4.4 and up that prevents internet access unless there is WiFi or cell data connection. How is it then that native Bluetooth tether works android to android, but pdanet doesn't? There is no WiFi or network data present. The connection is not denied in native tether. Fix the bug and submit it to Google. That would be the fastest fix.

Works... but some features seem redundant Just wondering why the BT tethering is so slow [as in, not practical for web or network browsing]. This is the case when my AT&T HTC M8 tethers to the same device model, my Nexus 7 2013, and my new Asus Moorefield ME572C. Also, I seem to get a faster ratio [averaging 30mb up / 30 mb down compared to 20 up / 19 down] when using stock Sense WiFi Hotspot config. Please shed some light or point me in the right direction for resources.
