Pocket Lift Guide

Pocket Lift Guide

For more than a decade, the Crosby User’s Guide for Lifting has been one of the most requested printed reference guides for the lifting industry, with over a half million in circulation.

This new electronic version takes the information available on the printed version to a new level. The Crosby User’s Guide for Lifting contains all the great features of the printed version including: references to various B30 standards concerning inspection/rejection criteria for slings and hardware, rigging terminology, guidelines for developing a sound rigging plan, wire rope and chain capacity charts, sling loading information, working with center of gravity and product information on selected Crosby hardware.

With this version, you can search for terms within the lift guide, and the resulting panels will be highlighted. Perhaps most convenient of all is the ability to view the User's Guide for Lifting in a Portrait view, which is essential on smaller devices such as phones.

The result is a reference guide you will not want to be without.

Features:

•References to standards for basic rigging terminology
•Keyword search
•Support for portrait and landscape orientations

Could do better Update: rating downgraded due to excessive permissions required. Why does a calogue want to read my contacts & accounts, know where I am or use my mike or camera? It is just a transfer of the Crosby catalogue to electronic format. It's visually clear on a Samsung Note II, but it only offers "flat" information - there's no attempt at providing rigging-related calculator functionality. Please include metric for Android

Could do better This is a transfer of the Crosby catalogue to electronic format. It's visually clear on a Samsung Note II, but it only offers "flat" information - there's no attempt at providing rigging-related calculator functionality. The search function doesn't seem to work. But the biggest problem is there is no metric data, only imperial. I know some of America is in denial about this, but many US companies provide metric data, including Crosby in the printed and pdf catalogues. Please include metric for Android
