Poker MultiGym

Poker MultiGym

The poker training app for your Android smartphone.

A MultiGym is used in sports training to isolate the individual parts of the body to exercise them. Each body part is trained in isolation but the end result is an improvement to the whole.

Poker MultiGym uses this same concept to break down the complex game of Poker to work on the individual skills involved. The end goal is the same - an improvement in your whole game.

Playing Poker MultiGym has two advantages. First, you'll understand what skills can improve your poker. Second you'll become an expert with those skills.

Poker MultiGym is a training tool, not a rote learning tool. The questions are generated rather than taken from a limited question pool. You'll need to master the skills not just commit the answers to memory.

Once you have worked on each individual Training Topic, The Main Event brings Topics together. By playing The Main Event you can practise all of the skills you have learnt from individual Training Topics.

There are 2 free Training Topics included in Poker MultiGym. They are Start Hands and, Odds and Ends.

In Start Hands you will learn to make a solid decision based upon your first two cards. This is a decision which you'll be making every hand so you'll need a solid strategy to be a winning poker player.

Odds and Ends will teach you the odds calculations you'll regularily need to perform at the poker table. Poker is a quick paced game and time spent doing these sorts of calculations is time you're not thinking about the higher thought processes: the thought processes which separate the expert from the amateur. This will make you quicker at these calculations, so you can focus on what's important.

From within the app you can purchase the Bet Sizing, Card Combos, Count Them Outs, It's The Nuts, Pot Equity and Sum It Up Training Topics.

Bet Sizing will teach you importance of your bet sizing on the odds you offer your opponents and you'll become an expert interpreting the odds offered by a bet size.

Card Combos will teach you to recognise the changing likelihood of differing opponent hands based upon card distribution.

Count Them Outs will teach you to correctly count your outs when you're on a draw. It includes regular outs, hidden outs, discounted outs, comparisons to pot odds and situations where you're drawing dead.

It's The Nuts will teach you the strength of your draw. It's a mixture of Hand Evaluation, Hand Matchups, Draws and Outs.

Pot Equity teaches you to estimate the strength of your hand against specific opponent holdings (and ranges).

Sum It Up will improve your ability to perform the sort of mental arithmetic required in poker. And to do it quickly.

Plus there's even more Training Topics on the way soon.

Very good for what it does Ideally, the pot equity section would be better if it gave some sort of guidelines that you could use to improve. And the starting hands section is obviously geared toward limit play only (no-limit decisions are very different). But otherwise, it's good practice and a useful tool for honing your skills.

Excellent trainer Great series of drills to routine basic poker skills. It's worth buying the extra topics.
