Pupil Distance Meter - camera

Pupil Distance Meter allows you to measure pupillary distance (PD) using your Android camera.
Automatic feature helps to preset rulers on the picture quickly with further manual adjustment for accurate measurements..

Pupillary Distance is needed when you want to order eyeglasses. Now you can measure it yourself using this app or ask your friend to measure your PD. You have options to estimate the PD automatically and tune the measurement manually.
Millimeters or inches are used to show the results.
The black magnetic stripe on cards (e.g credit card) is used as a reference for measurements. You can also estimate the pupil distance without any reference - in this case Face Mode is to be used. You can use a standard credit cards without the black stripe but you would need to bound it manually after detection is shown.
Zoom View feature allows you to align the pointers on the screen very accurately. The option to save or share the results is also available in the app.
Another distinctive feature is the possibility to use front camera for measurements with timing option. So you can measure PD yourself.

Features:
- automatic detection
- Face Mode and Credit Card Mode
- option to switch between Back and Front Camera
- two different measurement units: mm and inches
- ability to adjust alignment manually
- Zoom View for accurate alignment
- auxiliary lines and points for segment height (bifocal), monocular (center to bridge) and frame measurements
monocular measurements (O.D and O.S.)

Thanks This app is very well done. My lighting wasn't so good and I did have to use manual mode, but it allows you to really fine tune it. I'm going to trust the accuracy and went ahead and ordered. The only problem was that I had to scan 3 credit cards because I kept dropping them in the toilet while I was peeing and didn't want to pick them up yet. Do not use this app while peeing!

Didn't work automatically, but workes. It didn't work automatically, so I had to adjust it to get it to measure correctly. Once I did that though, it gave good answers.

works pretty well didn't find my pupils, but easy enough to touch-drag the markers into place. found the credit card stripe just fine. would be cool to have a general-measurement version of this. would probably be more accurate if I could hold the camera further away from my face (at abuot 18" I think there may have been some parallax issue)

No pupil found I always got an error message no pupil detected I wish I didn't pay for this a waste of money. And I get an email now saying that they replied but there is no reply...... Regardless of lighting no matter whose eyes we tried we always got the error message no pupils were detected
