QuestaBird

Experience the adventure of Australia's wildlife!

QuestaBird takes you outdoors -- to your backyard, a local park, a hiking trail, anywhere. Join quests and compete with other players to photograph birds in the wild.

The game works across all Australia, using nationally verified data on over 2400 species of birds. (Includes option to load other categories of animals, with over half a million species).

See which birds are more easily spotted in your location at the current time of year. Then join quests, earn gold, buy supplies, gain levels, build your collection, add new categories, move up the leader board, buy prizes, and become Australia's greatest adventurer of all time.

All sightings are geo-tagged with location, date, time and submitted to Australia's national database -- so you're not only mapping your conquests, you're also helping scientists record and protect Australia's biodiversity while you play.

QuestaBird also comes with the "Butterflies and Moths" category pre-installed. New categories, such as "Crawling Critters" or "Mammals, Reptiles and Amphibians" can be added at any time.

Great app Really like the "what's near me" button and the whole game idea. There was a error first time I tried but was quickly fixed with new release. Amazing that is has all the species in Australia! Well done!

Almost a field guide as well as a game This game is a fantastic idea. I hadn’t realised until playing that there was so much species data in there, including distribution maps and comparative pics. This makes it a great resource even possibly for non-game players.
