QVD client Beta

QVD client Beta

Introduction

This is the QVD client for the Android platform.

Currently the only supported platform is arm, that is the intel platform (x86) is not supported.

QVD is a highly scalable, cost effective, easy to manage, open source VDI solution built on top of Linux.

The main focus is to provide desktop access for large number of users with a very small footprint for each user session by:

* Using the same OS image for all the users (using overlays)
* Sharing memory between user processes (using LXC)
* Using small bandwidth (using NX)

This version includes the Xvncpro application, you should be able to use the qvdclient instead of the xvncpro application as X11 / X server.

Not working When trying to install prerequisites fails with "Item not found" on Google Play. QVD server/client worked like a charm, but Android client cannot even start, let alone connect to a VM. Please fix. Thanks

Open Office on Android Wow brilliant project the idea of running images via LXC is just brilliant. Ok you have your andriod device yeah it steams video and browses the web perfectly but you need some hardcore business applications. Here comes QVD centralised ubuntu / suse servers providing any app so you can use cheap low energy devices and no code to be done. VDI and the desktop in the cloud :) Love It Many Thanks Stuart
