just click the checkbox and a recording service starts recording audio. the service will attempt to record using your preferred settings, if your phone doesn't support your preferred mode, it will default to the closest thing to your preferences.
file outputs to your SD card with a time-stamp for a filename.
using AAC encoding, the service pauses for a phone call, then resumes when you hang up.
using PCM encoding, the service closes the file when the phone connects. restarting the service (re-checking the box) will resume recording.
future version will pay attention to phone state and attempt to record phone call.

this is just a re-write of my "RECORDING!" app.
if the phone reboots, shuts off, or crashes while recording, file will be corrupted. PCM-WAV files are easily recoverable, AAC files are not as easy. running out of room on the SD card can have a similar result.
