reddit offline

reddit offline

Download contents from reddit when you have Internet, and read them when you don't.

Everything in this app was designed with offline in mind. Being able to use this app when there's no Internet is the top priority when making any design decisions. It currently pre-downloads text posts, images (including gifs and imgur albums), and all comments, for offline use. You can also schedule the app to download at specified times.

This app does NOT have ads, and it will NEVER have ads. The limited screen-size on handhold devices are too valuable to display ads.

This is a beta version, with lots of new features coming. Please visit /r/RedditOffline for discussions and feature requests.

Permissions explained:

One of the best app I have discovered so far. The convenience of this app is over the top. This is great for people who don't have data plans or just like browsing Reddit offline -- and it even has without ads! No bloatware bullshit, just pure awesomeness. But there are still some things lacking -- like you can save the picture off from the page (although you can find that particular picture in the cache directory), as well as the ability to select a particular text. And I also found a bug too -- whenever a picture is zoomed-in, the picture stays that way and there's no way to zoom it out, and the only way is to re-open that page article. But overall, it's an awesome app. Looking forward for the next awesome update!

Really great. Great app that does what it's supposed to. Pretty helpful when I have time to check Reddit but no reliable connection available. Nice, thought-out and user friendly scheduling option. And the progress bar is pretty unique and informative. What I'd love to see in the app is a text selection and copy option. And maybe a raised maximum number of news to download. Like 200. Though a text copy option is a must for me. Thank you for a very useful piece of software.
