Rescan SD Media Card

Rescan SD Media Card

This is very simple and very useful for some users app. Its purpose is to rescan (remount) your SD card with one click, without remove it or go into settings. This is very helpful when you see that your latest photos or downloaded music is not found by your music player, gallery, etc. The app works with KITKAT too!

With some changes, works great on emulated storage. I have a Samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 with cyanogenmod 11 (kitkat 4.x). It wasn't showing all the Android files on the windows side when properly connected. After installing this app, I had to force stop and clear data in the "media storage" (located in settings->apps->all). Then start this app, change the default file path to just "\storage", tap the start icon, and VERY patiently wait until completed, then connect to the Windows machine. Worked great.

How I got it to work for me... 1. Go into App manager; force stop "Media storage" and delete it's data. 2. Do the same for gallery and the music app (may need to do to whatever 3rd party app your using) 3. Run this app.
