Rick Steves' Reader

Rick Steves' Reader

The Rick Steves’ Reader app gives you mobile access to Rick’s essential travel information for Europe’s great destinations. City guidebooks tell you what you really need to know and help you plan where to go and what to see, depending on the length of your trip. Download one of the shorter Tours or Walks for straightforward, street-level advice—from self-guided walks through city neighborhoods to what to see (and what you can avoid) at Europe’s great museums, galleries, and historic sites.

You’ll need a wifi or cell phone connection to download ebooks to your device, but once a book has been downloaded, you can read it at any time without connecting to the internet, avoiding costly mobile data plans and roaming charges. Travel with peace of mind, knowing that your purchased Rick Steves’ ebooks are safely stored in your digital library in the Cloud, so that you can always access them later should misfortune befall your device on the road.

This app is designed with you, the traveling reader, in mind! You can highlight, bookmark, annotate, and share notes via email. Use these tools to bookmark useful travel information, add your own memos, and send your notes to your traveling companions.

As our free gift to you for joining the Rick Steves' community, you'll automatically receive The Back Doors half of the Rick Steves' Europe Through the Back Door 2013 guide when you register.

Doesn't let me sign in Not sure if this app is actually supposed to do anything, but I can't advance past the Adobe ID sign in screen.

Love the books, hate the app The maps in the books are illegibly small and there is no way to zoom in or enlarge them. Note that the user's guide that comes with the app is in pdf format and you can zoom in and out on the pages, but the guidebooks are in EPUB format and don't allow that. Most of the books are available in Kindle format and are more reasonable to use (I believe they also come in iBook format)
