"Rijksmonumenten" is an app for searching information on over 60.000 listed historical buildings (monuments) in the Netherlands. You can search on text, location, type of monument, and its original function. The results are represented as items in a list, as markers on a map, and objects seen through the camera of your smartphone (augmented reality). The list can be sorted by (among others) distance and year of building. For every monument a description is available and in most cases also a photograph which can be zoomed in.
"Rijksmonumenten" was developed by Armatiek BV. The information about the buildings originates from the "Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed" (RCE) and Wikipedia and is assembled by ab-c media (see also rijksmonumenten.info).
Armatiek BV has developed this app using our in-house technology "Guezz". Using this technology new native search apps can be developed in a relative short amount of time. This takes the form of a "configuration", so programming is hardly required. Rijksmonumenten is the first app that is developed using this technology and shows part of its capabilities.
