On August 31, 1985 Rhonda Butler and Curtis A. Thompson, Sr. gave birth to their first born, a handsome baby boy they named Curtis A. Thompson, Curtis Jr. was affectionately given the name “Lil Curt” by his dad. Curt was lovingly nurtured by his Grand’ma Phyllis Thompson who provided for him a spiritual foundation, which he continued to develop throughout his short life. His faith in God is revealed in his writings in his Bible. Curt was a handsome, intelligent young man who though quiet, took his responsibilities seriously. Curt started his primary years of education at Coral Reef and Frank C. Martin Elementary Schools. His secondary years were spent at Richmond Middle School. Curt graduated as a Cougar from Miami Killian Sr. High, Class of 2003. After high school, Curt worked for several years as a law clerk at a local law firms in Coral Gables. He maintained close relationships with his siblings and family. All those who knew him were warmed by his quiet and gentle spirit. During his adolescent years he enjoyed playing football for the Richmond Heights Giants and Coral Reef Broncos, with his dad cheering him on as an assistant football coach. Curt enjoyed playing video games, dominoes and spending time with his friends who fondly called him “Diddy”. Curt‘s earthly journey came to an end on Sunday November 24th.
