Roaming Control Trial

Roaming Control Trial

Roaming Control automatically enables or disables mobile data connection, airplane mode or auto sync based on the currently active network operator.

Roaming Control can also intercept outgoing calls in selected networks, and ask if you want to allow the call.

Besides manually defined network operators, Roaming Control also supports special rules for your home network, for national roaming and for unknown networks. For certain networks, free roaming partner networks are also supported.

+++ Due to changes Google made in Android 5.0 it i+s technically no longer possible (at least for application developers) to toggle data on or off - so we had do drop support for Android 5.0+.

Possible scenarios, where Roaming Control helps you, are:

* Your network provider is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) and uses national roaming to connect to other network providers.

* You want that your mobile data connection automatically turns off as soon as you leave your country (and turns on again when coming back).

* You live near the border and want to avoid outgoing calls when connected to the foreign network.

* You want an easy way to enable data roaming for your Sprint network.

Differences between full version and trial version:

The trial version offers the full functionality, but expires after 7 days.

Works, and then does not. I used the trial App for about 4 days to make sure it worked as advertised. I was happy with the way it was doing exactly what it advertised, allowing me to use my phone as normal when connected to the networks of my choice, and no functionality when not on those networks. So I paid for the app. Worked fine for about two weeks... now it does not work at all. I enable a rule. (in my case - National Roaming) - tap phone off... tap okay.... come back to the rule, and the phone is enabled again. By toggling the rule itself (Enable rule box) - and then back on, I was able to get the "phone off" to stick... but it still doesn't work. Still getting texts, and able to send texts while roaming. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app. Considering I spent what seemed like a fair price to stop runaway roaming charges... I just checked with my carrier and already have over $10 from text alone this past week... This feels like some stupid bait and switch scam. Super disappointed.
