@Yvonne, Running Tracker uses GPS to automatically calculate mileage and during. Please make sure your Android device has a working GPS receiver. You can download a free app called GPS Test to verify whether your GPS hardware is broken. Also, you need to turn on GPS service from settings -> Location Service-> GPS Satellites. Lag of GPS has all but gone away. Very good program. I do a lot if trail running with turn-a-rounds and tight u's ... seems to work well. THANK YOU for the non-invasive nature if your program(s).

Inaccurate GPS distance tracker has 5 - 10% error ratio. I like 'map my run' much better which also comes for free. 'Map my run' tracks distance much more accurately plus it records trail map and elevation. Would not recommend buying 'running tracker'. What stinks most, that the software developer tried to by my review with the promise of refund...
