I play several other otome games, and this one is one of my favorites (along with Hakuoki and Nilfheim, and maybe also Kisses and Curses). Unfortunately, almost all of the otome games use the "5 story tickets a day" system hinders a lot my appreciation of those games. I hate being forced to quit the game and wait, and after quitting I often forget to come back for some time, and when I do come back I forgot where I was in the story, as well as only dimly recalling all that happened over the previous months. Which is why I am very grateful that this game has a full though paying version. The price is not absurdly high, about 5€ for a story if remember correctly, so about the price of a book (or rather an expensive illustrated short story). I probably would think it a bit too high if I liked it less, but almost as soon as I finished the prologue on the free version I switched for the paying one. It is very very rare for me to really like even one of the male characters: usually they either annoy me or bore me or both (which does not mean that they are all badly written, sometimes it is just a matter of taste, like with some popular character archetypes that I personally can't stand), and often I tolerable them for the sake of the story, so it is a nice change to actually like some of them. Akifusa annoys me (like all characters of his type), but Gentoka is alright, and I really like Kuso-no-mikoto, at least for now (I haven't finished Gentoka and Kuso's routes, so I might change my mind about them once I have gone further in their respective stories). The basic plot is not especially original (the "human versus demon", "end of the world preventable only by you oh chosen one" and "guilt-ridden hero" things must have been done a thousand times already, and same for the "divine magic sword which is also a curse"), but at least in this game it is well done, which is the important thing. As for now I haven't finished either of the routes I bought, I can't judge the rest of the story and character development yet. The writing (or translation ?) is alright, I did not even cringe once yet ! It is my record so far for the longest non cringe inducing otome reading (though that also might change once romance develops more, as I very rarely find that well handled). The tone feels right for the story until now, no over the top dramatics yet. Also, no constant spelling errors or bad grammar to annoy me (and it says a lot about the generally low quality of writing/translation in otome games that I even need to mention this). The art is really beautiful, and I wish more games had the same quality and talent. I also with that this game had some good music to go with the story and art, but unfortunately there is none (and that must be the only negative point I found so far about the game !). All in all, I am very glad I found this game. I only hope the rest of the story is of the same quality than what I have already read. EDIT: I understand giving a bad rating to a paying game or the free demo of a paying game pretending (even if only by omission in its description) to be a free game, but why on earth would people keep giving bad ratings to paying games like this one which don't hide anything, and this for the sole fault of being paying games ?...

A port of an Otomate game, this is one of the last otomes that offer deeper, better written stories instead of fluffy and dumb fan service. There is plenty of emotion and bittersweetness, the story is well written and well rendered in English. If you prefer sex fan service and dumb cliches then this app is not for you... but there aren't otomes with a story as good as here since most devs have focused only on shallow and easy sex fanservice. This is the last otome Solnare ported that is worth playing at all. Beautiful storues, my favourite is Kuso route. Shiki is a wonderful MC, one you don't find often in otomes; expecially the cheap sex-obsessed ones. Beautiful app.

l love this game but please oh god please add the bgm. I want music!!! It feels odd without music. It is missing bgmb that's it. Please add bgm and i will buy all the routes.... it's a beautiful game please do justice to this otomate game!

First let me say I pretty much always play paid otome games, I just don't like the hassle of the free games and I don't mind paying. I was really keen to play this game.... until I saw the price, its ten Australian dollars. That in my opinion is not worth it when most of Solmare's other paid game main stories are eight Australian dollars. I do like the art in the prologue and it's seems like a really interesting game which is why I haven't given it a one star.

Friend code: NPFMpmXedc I would rate 5 but I have an issue with a story purchase I made. The transaction went through and it shows on my bank account, but it doesn't transfer to the game. I would either like assistance in solving the problem or a refund returned to me. Will rate 5 stars after issue is solved.

A war novel which occasionally hints at romance. If you're looking for a romance novel don't buy this title
