Screen Notifications

Screen Notifications

A very simple app that turns your screen on for a specified period time when you get a notification. Optionally if your device is in your pocket or the proximity sensor is otherwise covered, the screen will not turn on.

Screen Notifications is open source (https://github.com/lkorth/screen-notifications). If you have ideas or feature requests feel free to submit an issue or pull request.

Uninstalling
If you have enabled Screen Notifications as a Device Admin so the screen will turn off after a notification, in order to uninstall Screen Notifications you will need to first open the app and uncheck the Device Admin option. Once this is done you will be able to uninstall it.

HTC One Users
There is a bug in the HTC lockscreen that will cause the shortcuts to break and the lockscreen to be dismissed without unlocking. The affects all apps that use the accessibility service (Lightflow, Pebble, etc)

If your phone is speaking, try disabling Samsung TTS and Google TTS in your devices menu or check for an update to your device. This is a known Samsung bug they have started to fix

Galaxy s4 trouble Must make major sacrifice to use this on Galaxy s4! I haven't got to try the app because when I enable Screen Notifications it says these options will be turned off: air gesture, air view, assistant menu, smart screen, interaction control, multi window, turn off all sounds, palm motion. I use a lot of those!

Best app. I've tried several different apps that's supposed to wake your phone up when you get a message or notifications but they don't. This is the first app that actually does what it says. Very pleased with it :) Thank-You!!

Working great so far! Only issue I've had is that all of my apps weren't checked on by default, and there was no check all button. Had to select one, then select inverse, then reselect the original one.
