Screen Notifications

Screen Notifications

A very simple app that turns your screen on for a specified period time when you get a notification. Optionally if your device is in your pocket or the proximity sensor is otherwise covered, the screen will not turn on.

Screen Notifications is open source (https://github.com/lkorth/screen-notifications). If you have ideas or feature requests feel free to submit an issue or pull request.

Uninstalling
If you have enabled Screen Notifications as a Device Admin so the screen will turn off after a notification, in order to uninstall Screen Notifications you will need to first open the app and uncheck the Device Admin option. Once this is done you will be able to uninstall it.

HTC One Users
There is a bug in the HTC lockscreen that will cause the shortcuts to break and the lockscreen to be dismissed without unlocking. The affects all apps that use the accessibility service (Lightflow, Pebble, etc)

If your phone is speaking, try disabling Samsung TTS and Google TTS in your devices menu or check for an update to your device. This is a known Samsung bug they have started to fix

Wow I wish I had seen this app before I paid for another one. This app is the best. It does what Droid should do on its own. 5 stars if you could turn off repeat notification. If the developer did that, he could sell this for $.99 and get hundreds of thousands of buyers

Love the app but 2 problems After I receive a notification, I noticed that if I don't clear it, the screen constantly come back on every minute. This is a bit annoying as I keep thinking there is a new notification but it is only the screen coming on every minute although there is no setting for reminders. Also if I try to look at a notification the screen cuts off while I am checking. It should stay on if I am actively doing something on screen.

Does exactly what it says. Wakes the screen for a duration of time on notifications. Android should have this built in. Not sure why they don't.
