1. Launcher shortcut
2. Launcher widget 1x1 - 4x4, resizable in Android 4.0+ (Also available in lock screen for Android 4.2+)

Notes:
For those who cannot see the screen off animation even the app is reinstalled, please follow the procedures below:
Android 4.x: Go to "Setting > Developer options > Transition animation", and then select 1x for this option.

Recent changes:
(New) Add option to use the floating screen off button without notification. However, the button may stop working if your device is running out of memory.
(Improved) Changing language in setting will take effect immediately
(Fixed) Align some text between the free and donate version

Used to work well on my Atrix, after the update to 2.3.4 Gingerbread, don't work anymore.

it will be awesome, if it had the option to use the power button, instead of the short cut

Great App, exactly what I was looking for. Also works perfectly together with NoLock in case I just want to turn off the screen without locking it. Battery saver and much more convenient than having to use the power button.

Doesn't work with trusted devices The app itself works well, but even with the delayed lock box checked, it still requires to be unlocked after using this app.
Works great Just plain worked fine on Xperia Z3c like I wanted. Plenty of handy ways to access the off command as well, thanks.
