SD Emergency

SD Emergency

Disaster Preparedness Starts With You.

Your family may not be together when disaster strikes, so it is important to plan in advance: how you will contact one another; how you will get back together; and what you will do in different disaster situations. The SD Emergency App contains disaster preparedness information, like:

• The ability to import or create your own emergency plan, plus the option to share with family and friends*
• The ability to build an emergency supplies kit that can be backed up and restored*
• Notifications when your emergency plan and kit are expired*

And when disaster strikes, the SD Emergency App will keep you and your family informed with:

• Emergency updates
• Interactive emergency maps
• Shelter locations

Plus, the app features a recovery section with resources during the aftermath of disasters.

The County of San Diego Office of Emergency Services (OES) created the SD Emergency App to better prepare and inform San Diego County residents and visitors about disasters. With SD Emergency, the tools you need to plan, prepare, and respond in an emergency are right at your fingertips.

Great Application As Is, don't change a thing for those who want other alerts, like amber alerts, then download an application just for that. I hate applications that get bloated with stuff people ask for. Stop the insanity. Wading thru an application to find someting your looking for does 1.) bloats the app, 2.) Makes navigating the app hard at times. I am not heartless, however downliad an application that is strickly for Amber Alerts.

Lacking accessibilty features for visual On my phone, the app doesn't rotate and does not finger(s) zoom. In Settings, words are clumped up on one side of the screen, leading me to believe the app was only written for tablets.

Good tweeks Small changes, but those little tweeks make the app easlier to use.

Outdated App. If you are going to make a app that people will depend on at least provide software update. I got no notification alerts (even if it is set on) during the San Diego fires. I have better help from Twitter, the main site, and reverse 911 calls. App performance acts like a ported version to old Android 2.3.X. Please make this app better, pretty please?.
