Send Reduced

Send Reduced

Send Reduced lets you send reduced resolution photos by email with the minimum number of taps. When sharing a photo, just choose "Send Reduced". The first time, you'll have to choose the email (or other) app you want to use with it, but if you set the checkmark to make this permanent, next time you won't even have to do that--as soon as you choose "Send Reduced", you'll be in the email (or other) app.

You can also use Send Reduced to attach a reduced photo--when choosing the attachment from your email app, first time choose the Gallery and set a checkmark, and next time you'll automatically get the photo from the gallery and reduce it.

You can adjust the resolution and quality of the reduced photo by running Send Reduced from your launcher.

Send Reduced is tiny, open source (search the web for source code) and has no ads.

Makes it seamless The first ever use was a bit confusing (on KitKat, from gmail app, after selecting "Send Reduced" from the window that pops up after clicking on attachment button, you would be tempted to select "Send Reduced" again, but you need to select "Gallery" along with "Always"), but subsequent use becomes seamless.

Perfect Exactly what I wanted. Lets me send pictures to people in a more data-friendly way without messing with the original pictures.

Perfect-simple Solution The simplicity of thus app is brilliant. Always a headache as newer phones produce bigger and bigger files. Tried similar apps but nothing compares with the ease of use One recommendation:change the logo far too difficult to see.

Simple to use after tricky first-time setup Careful when setting up the first time to NOT select this app but the gallery app, otherwise it will appear to freeze your phone. After that, selecting the image is fast and easy. I'd like to have multi-select capability, and an interface to delete reduced files (if they're even stored).
