SenseGrid is a collaborative environment observation project utilizing mobile devices. It gathers sensor data on your Android device (SenseGrid Node) and periodically sends it to the SenseGrid server, which then transmits this data to all connected devices running a SenseGrid compatible client.
Currently supported sensors include:
- relative humidity
- ambient temperature
Note that most devices don't have all of these sensors. The current geolocation coordinates and a unique DeviceID are sent along the sensor data. Nothing else is sent. Your data is NOT utilized for commercial purposes.
This application and the server are written in Scala.
- ability to change your displayed name
- adjustable synchronization interval
- a background service for sending data
- improved user interface
- historical node data
