Ship's Bells

Ship's Bells

This app rings or vibrates on the hour and half hour in a standard ship's bells pattern.

You can set "quiet hours" during which the app will neither ring nor vibrate.

kw: ships bells, navy

Recent changes:
* Fixed the bug that made it ring on the half hour even when "hour only" was checked.

A bug has been reported for devices running KitKat that sometimes the bells ring at the wrong time. I am aware of this issue and will address it in the next version, which will be a complete rewrite, including an updated interface.

I was pleased to find this. I almost wrote one myself, then found that it already existed. (The bells drive my family mad, which is an added bonus.)

Great app. Could you add an icon or widget in order to access the mute setting faster? I would appreciate the possibility to add high bitrate sounds via menu (reduces noise???)

Great when it worked Initially this App worked great. Then it started crashing. Now it will not work at all. Cannot even do the test settings.

What?!? These do not sound, at all, like true ship's bells. Yuck.

Good tone All the standard features of a maritime chronometer in one's pocket.

Nearly there... This is good in concept but it only runs when you are running another application - it doesn't seem to work in the background. It also crashes often.
