Nice Note App This is a very nice app for easily taking text-only notes (no formatting). I like the tagging system, which would be even better if tags could be nested (hierarchy). Preview of notes in the list is better here in the app than on the website. An archive feature would be nice as well, so as not to clutter the list but still be able to access old notes. However, I really, really, really don't like the font they have chosen for writing the notes and it's not possible to change it. It's great that your notes get

Seamlessly integrates across web/tablet, simple but elegant user interface There are a lot of note-taking apps out there, spanning the gamut between simplicity and feature-richness. Most of them are tailored for a specific type of user, and this one strikes a sweet spot for me. I mostly take notes on my tablet and later, after they have synchronized to the cloud, I organize them and, in certain case, copy them elsewhere. Simplenote allows me to do so seamlessly. Both the tablet and the web application are exercises in simple yet effective design. I very much like the possibility of publishing notes to the internet with a single push of a button, and also the markdown capabilities that allow for putting headlines, bold, italics, links, etc. into documents without being tied into a proprietary binary format like with other word processors or rich text editors. The tag-based organization structure takes some getting used to, but it's definitely a more extensible way of organizing one's notes across different themes and associations. I've searched for a good note-taking app for years, and now, it seems, the hunt is over.
