SkEye Pro

SkEye Pro

This is the Pro version of SkEye.

If you are an advanced user or would like to support the development of SkEye, please consider purchasing this version.

This version has:
 • Support for Comets.
 • The complete NGC, IC catalog with a powerful object filter
 • Satellite tracking
Note that TLE data is not automatically updated. I haven't added this mainly to avoid an extra permission: Internet access.
 • All stars upto mag 10 are rendered.

The Best This is the best App I've bought. My wish list would be to be able to get information on whatever object I've got locked-on. Let's say, another button somewhere up near the top of the screen, would bring up a little information from a database. Update: Had payed version for about 3 months, still works flawlessly.

SkEye has the correct balance of sophistication controls and simplicity of on screen display so that it has become my go to app for all night sky viewing. I have also successfully attached my phone to my telescope (a 10" Dobson) and used the PushTo feature of this app to find and observe night time objects I would never of seen without the assistance. An intuitive and powerful app that transforms my telescope into a goto without the cost of motors, computer or expensive software.

Outstanding! One thing particular to SkEye is the ability to rotate everywhere using 2 fingers, like in Google Map. Once you try SkEye it is very hard to use other similar apps that do not rotate freely like SkEye. Another thing particular to SkEye is the ability to adjust the brightness/opacity of names/labels and lines, stars and objects. This allows you to declutter the map to your liking and allows you to turn your phone display brightness to a minimum, thus preserving battery life. SkEye is a joy to use!
