Solar Explorer HD Pro

Solar Explorer HD Pro

Soar into space and visit dozens of planets, moons and asteroids on an exciting journey through our solar system. High definition graphics and atmospheric music will make you feel like you are there!

This pro version of Solar Explorer includes more spacecraft, more functions and has no ads!

Features:
★ HD graphics and awesome music and sound effects
★ Easy to use and intuitive controls
★ Detailed information about dozens of planets and moons
★ Images based on real photos taken by telescopes or NASA spacecraft
★ Ideal educational introduction to the solar system for kids
★ An atmospheric experience in the vacuum of space!

Easy to use controls make navigation a breeze. A simple tap will send you soaring into the outer reaches of deep space. Another tap will return you safely home to Earth.

There’s lots to see and do. In addition to beautiful graphics, Solar System Explorer also includes a great deal of information about the planetary systems you’ll visit. Learning has never been so enjoyable!

Become the pilot. With the new free-flight option, you can take direct control and fly the spaceship yourself. Accompanied by a rumbling engine, you’ll be swooping through the asteroid belt, diving through the gas giant Saturn’s rings and surfing the upper atmosphere of planets. It’s the next best thing to a space walk!

The 3D models in this app are based on photos taken by NASA spacecraft and both space-based and ground based telescopes. Because some of the moons around the gas giants have only been visited once or twice, we may have partially complete images. Missing surface detail for these moons is estimated from what can be seen.

In this solar system simulator, visit the brilliant blue-green planet Uranus, knocked onto its side by a massive collision. See the proto-planet Ceres which makes up one third of the mass of the asteroid belt. Travel to Neptune's moon Triton which orbits in the opposite direction to its other moon, Proteus. Take in the sights of the Jupiter's heavily scarred moon Callisto, its surface pockmarked by countless impact craters.

Places to visit in the Solar System Explorer orrery:
The Sun, otherwise known as Sol
Planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars
Gas giant planets: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune
Moons: Luna, Deimos and Phobos, Callisto, Europa, Ganymede, Io, Mimas, Tethys, Enceladus, Dione, Rhea, Titan, Iapetus, Miranda, Umbriel, Ariel, Oberon, Titania, Triton, Proteus, Charon
Dwarf planets: Ceres and Vesta
The former planet Pluto
Also, catch up to NASA's Voyager probe on its lonely journey into the cosmos

Excellent fun and educational. I purchased the pay version and when the latest update came out. It just is awesome. I have had this app, since it was fairly new. And over time the developer has done a great job, now with HD it is stunningly beautiful and all the info provided has been extremely educational. Highly recommend this app. It's great just if you want to play or learn. Am looking forward to to see what comes next. Great job Neil.

Very nice app and music The app is nice and so is the music, the only small problem I am experiencing is that once you change the time and date in the app there's no way of synchronizing the time and date in the app back with the real time, even though there is a real time tab In the time and date changer but it doesn't really do much real time difference change, it just slows down the solar system orbiting. I was hoping there would be update that could have the feature to synchronize the app time and date with the real time every time the time\date is changed, because the only way to synchronize the app time with real time is to restart the app, I rather an update can be added so that this would make it more convenient and easy and simple. Also another thing I'd like to mention about is that I can't seem to change the time in the app, only the date I can change, if you could also fix that too. The previous version of this app had a more nicer interface than this version, and had lots more to it , like time and date change, more info about planets and etc. If an update can be made to the above requests to make it look like the previous app interface that would be much appreciated.
