Needs lots of improvements Good app. But on galaxy s5 playback shortcuts on lock-screen is inactive. also equalizer seems not to be working. After a day of continuous operation, my raspberry pi started to lag, so, had to reboot it. May be there is something with java executable, it looks like it was allocating lots of ram, but cpu usage was 100 and server load ~60. Last issue i noticed is sound levels, i.e. at volume level of 8-9 there is no way to hear music, but just background noise. so reasonable levels for adjustment are from 10-11 to 15, the best sound quality is only on maximum volume (i mean volume set in the apps speaker settings).

Awesome, but loads of hiccups on Raspberry Pi with USB Audio Card I'd be happy to purchase this, mainly to use it in combination with the various Raspberry Pis scattered through my house. The quality of the native audio out on the RPi is atrocious so I am using very simple external USB Audio cards. These work great with all applications I run on the RPIs, except Soundseeder, which hiccups so bad it is pretty much inaudible. I have narrowed it down to USB Audio being the problem, plugging a headphone into the RPi's audio out plays fine, just very bad quality which is beyond Soundseeder's control. I'd be happy to assist in debugging / testing this, please reach out to me if I can help

Only app that actually syncs 2 rooms. Dev has updated twice since December. Works better than before. If you have a hiss, it's probably your cables. Upgrade them and the hiss disappeared. Have found the old Google Music app 5.5 but haven't tried to load it yet. Will update when I do to see if that works. Congrats devs , I've been looking for over a year to sync 2 rooms with Android, without buying a Sonos or other system. All the others apps lag. 6 stars.
