Talkman is a text reader and audio player.
Its user interface is specially designed to suit the visually handicapped, but it will be appreciated by all people who prefer to enjoy the content without being distracted by complicated access to it. Simple, intuitive control by screen swipes is combined with voice messages (TTS), sound and vibration alerts. Reading your favourite books is just so easy and fun. You can choose reading unit options, search for text, create bookmarks, search for additional context related to selected word from web sources.
Text is read by text-to-speech function installed in the device.
Same control is shared for audio record player. Record description tags are available. Bookmarks make it easy to handle large audio book records.
Play and pause can be controlled by shaking the device as an option.
Additional features include:
Sleep timeout sensitive to device manipulation, management of device lock and screen off events.
New setting "Go to next on finish and announce title" was added as optional action on audio file playback completion. In this case current file name is announced. This is a recommended setting for Nexus 5 issue of unreliable skip on to the next file playback option.
Extended commands from external audio devices added, covering more keys.
New audio alerts for indication of cancelled navigation on to the next file or time interval skip.
